The background engine that reads your real QuickBooks Desktop company file and keeps it in sync with the Comptrolla app you're using. Install this on the computer that actually runs QuickBooks — not necessarily the same one you use that app from.

• • Needs administrator rights — it registers a background task.
• • Installs everything it needs on its own — nothing else to set up first.
• • During setup you'll be asked for connection details from inside the Comptrolla app you're connecting it to — get those from there first.
